Permanent Makeup Training in Toronto
Our PMU training program covers the four most in-demand permanent makeup techniques — microblading, ombre brows, lip blush, and eyeliner. Each course combines theory with supervised hands-on practice on live models. You will learn colour theory, skin analysis, facial mapping, machine technique, and client consultation — everything you need to start working with clients confidently. Courses are taught by master PMU artist Helen Shin, who brings over a decade of professional experience trained in Korea and Canada.
The Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals recognizes hands-on, supervised training as the gold standard for PMU education. Our curriculum reflects that standard.

PMU Course Catalog
Two hands-on courses covering every major permanent makeup technique — from manual microblading to full machine PMU for brows, eyeliner, and lips. Live model training is included; students arrange and bring their own models.
Microblading Course
Master manual hair-stroke brows — the most in-demand, natural-looking brow technique. Across three hands-on sessions you’ll learn brow mapping and design, skin types and suitability, microblading technique, colour theory and pigment selection, safety and sanitation, and full client consultation and aftercare.
Machine Permanent Makeup Course
A complete machine-based PMU program covering ombre brows, combination brows, classic eyeliner enhancement, and lip blush. Includes hands-on training with live models throughout the course (students provide their own models). Machine included.

No prior experience is needed for our foundational courses. Our certification programs are designed for beginners. However, mastery-level programs require proof of prior certification.
All training materials, practice skins, pigments, needles, and tools are included in the course fee. You will also receive a starter kit to begin your practice after the course.
Yes. All certification and mastery programs include supervised live model sessions so you gain hands-on experience before working independently.

We keep our classes small, typically between 2 and 6 students per session. This ensures every student receives personalized, hands-on attention from Helen Shin throughout the entire program.
All courses are taught in English. Korean-language instruction is available upon request for individual or small group sessions. Please let us know your preference when enrolling.
No. All necessary equipment, tools, pigments, and practice materials are included in your course fee. You will also receive a professional starter kit to take home. If you already own your own machine or tools, you are welcome to bring them for guidance on technique.
Yes. We offer ongoing mentorship and can connect graduates with studios and salons looking for trained SMP and permanent makeup artists. Helen Shin actively supports alumni through referrals, portfolio reviews, and career guidance.
Our courses are exclusively in-person at our Thornhill studio. SMP and PMU are hands-on disciplines that require direct supervision, live model practice, and real-time feedback that cannot be replicated through online learning.
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot. If you need to cancel, the deposit can be applied to a future course date. Full refunds, minus the deposit, are available if cancellation is made at least 14 days before the course start date. Please contact us for full details.
